RELAX - RENEW - RESTORE
Reiki is an energy healing art with its roots in Japan. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. It is a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.
A session is usually 60 minutes long. The client will rest comfortably on a massage table on their back with their shoes removed. Unlike massage therapy, no articles of clothing are removed and a client is always fully clothed; loose, comfortable clothing is suggested.
Reiki is a great tool for stress reduction and relaxation. Many people use Reiki for wellness. Reiki is not a cure for a disease or illness, but it may assist the body in creating an environment to facilitate healing. Reiki is a great tool to use as a complement to traditional medicine and is practiced in many hospitals and medical care settings.

BENEFITS OF REIKI
REIKI 2 PRACTITIONER
IGabrielle attained her Reiki 2 Practitioner certification after discovering her love of performing Reiki on others. She was first introduced to this energy modality in 2017 and quickly began her studies to become a practitioner. She is currently pursuing her Reiki Master certification.
"My yoga practice has deepened as my Reiki practice has expanded."
Gaer began her Reiki journey 5 years ago, taking Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 over a couple of months. After working with clients for a year, she studied under two other Reiki Masters to broaden her understanding of this energy modality. In the fall of 2017, Gaer was certified as an Usui Reiki Master. In addition to offering sessions, Gaer will be leading Reiki Training for interested students.
"Reiki is an amazing energy modality to help clients relax. Next best thing to being on your yoga mat!"
If you're considering training, watch for our next Reiki Open House, then begin your training journey with Reiki 1 Training. Each month, the next level of training will be available - Reiki 1, followed by Reiki 2 the next month, then Reiki 3/Master the third month. The cycle starts over again, so if you want more time to practice and become acclimated to your previous attunement, there's always another training that will be offered.
